Birthday Books!  

Birthday Books is an initiative which we introduced in 2022. 

The aim is for children to bring a new book to school on their birthday. As a school we want to encourage healthy lifestyles and we feel this is a much better option for our children than sweets and chocolates. Our children have a love of reading and a gift of a new book to the classroom will further help to encourage this.  

Your child is invited to gift a book to their class if you would like to. This book can then be wrapped up as a present, brought into school by your child on or near to their birthday and opened by them in front of their class. The book will have a bookplate inserted to acknowledge that it was bought for the class on the special occasion of your child's birthday. 

For ease, we have created an Amazon wish list which you can purchase a book from, and we will put it in a gift bag ready for your child. However, you are most welcome to gift a preloved book or purchase a book of your choice from alternative sources.
